Several consortium partners met on 09/01/2019 at the NLR facilities in Marknesse.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss the integration of sensors for the use cases planned in SuCoHS. The partners providing sensors in the project, i.e. Synthesites, Apodius and Technobis Fibre Technologies, presented the requirements and opportunities of their sensor technologies for the high-temperature nacelle component and the tail cone panel substructure. Aernnova Engineering Division and Short Brothers as some of the industrial partners of SuCoHs interested in implementing the sensors and monitoring capabilities and benefits on their use case and future commercial programmes, supported the meeting and provided the experience in composite design and manufacturing. A demonstration of the fibre placement machine was also performed to prepare the manufacturing activities.
